Guess this guy thought this was a Whistling Duck instead of an Egyptian Goose. He kept whistling at it.

Haven't shot a Kestrel in a long time. Spotted this one while riding my bike. Actually, we were cutting across a sandy berm. Chris had to hold my bike while I slowly walked towards it without looking at it. Guess that's why I didn't see it fly off. Managed a couple of shots. Highly cropped.

About how big would you say this was, Marilynne? The size looks like a small sparrow.

I was getting ready to leave Wako and stopped to chat with some of the regulars. I saw this guy that I had passed a few times while walking. He said "Marilynne?", I said "Jeff?". It was @Needa. We've only met once a couple of years ago. We had a nice little chat.

About how big would you say this was, Marilynne? The size looks like a small sparrow.

It's a tad larger than a sparrow - about 9-10 inches Cindy.
