The wife drives us shopping for the weekly groceries every week on a late Sunday afternoon and parks at the top open level of the car park at the shopping centre. The skyline & clouds are never the same at that time of day and half the time, I'm grabbing the camera out the back of the car to picture it.

They are pretty, I just wish they didn't bring all the destruction with them. There was hail and high destructive winds all around us. Lucky for us we didn't have any damage but some of the communities around us had a lot of damage.

"I love when the sky looks like that."

I don't. We've had tornadoes a few times when the sky was like that.
I was looking more at the color. I have had yellow-orange skies like that without the bad weather.
But, yeah....mammatus clouds usually mean somebody is having really bad weather day. One time I shot an image of a firey orange sky with huge mammatus clouds. Turned out it was part of the system that dropped tornados in Oklahoma over 70 miles away from me.
