After a very long run with my D5100, I finally took the plunge and upgraded to a full frame D750. Well, I made the purchase, now I am stalking my email for the shipping info....(I need to know what day that I need to take off from work so that I can get to know her better lol)

My Second 'Real' Camera is Now My Latest Acquisition!
I started out taking photos with a Pentax K1000, and after a couple years had saved up enough money to buy my dream camera.... A Pentax MESuper. If I had a nickle for every frame of Kodachrome 25 I took with that camera, I'd be able to buy my own country.
Today, while in the local brick-n-mortar camera store, there sat this little gem in the used camera section:
I just could not pass it up.

I've wanted to get a second light stand--my first was the Manfrotto 1005BAC (9' tall and is heavier). I just couldn't decide whether I wanted another one just like it or the Manfrotto 1004BAC which is lighter but taller at 12'. So I finally opted to go with the latter figuring I can add a sandbag to weigh it down.
Currently each one is less than $100 at B&H. When I bought my first one, they were each around $113.

I have been dealing with 2 cheap 70-200 for severas years. I finally big the bullet. I got tired of poor pictures. I borrowed a friend's Tamron and finally saw what I was,missing.

I used to have an antique push-pull Nikon 70-210 4-5.6 and it was OK - but not in the same league as a 70-200 2.8. I've heard some good things about the older 80-200 2.8 - apparently even more of a tank than the VR1 we have - mine is hefty enough.

I also use the 1004BACs as backdrop support, so two go to that. Then I have four for lights (key, fill, rim, hair).
The last three are at my office, and I use them for hanging wireless Access Points at ceiling height temporarily.
Figured if I needed to buy some for work, might as well get something that matches what I have for photography. Fortkentdad

Tokina AT-X Pro 11-20 F2.8
Almost came home with a Nikkor 20mm 1.8G too but no. Let's see what this one can do first.
I'll post my first impressions in a thread under wide angle lenses after I have some good sample shots.
Tokina's do not include a sock or case so picked up one of those too and a protective filter.
Capacity to take filters was one of the reasons I went with DX instead of FX - that and price.

you followed the same path i did. started with a 5100 in 2012 then upgraded to a 750 2 yrs later.
you'll like the new one. bit of a learning curve but i think it is a better camera overall.
