I think we should have an Ansel Adams 'look alike' contest! Now that would be fun!

[EDIT: I posted this on 500px just as a joke but they all seem to love it. Hmmm? Go figure?]

I like your choice of perspective here.

Details, please, on the 1911? I'm a bit of a fan...

Thank you. Nothing like looking down the business end of a 1911. It is a Custom Royal Kimber .45 Gov. model. It is hard to believe this firearm is 20 years old........I swear I was the only one in my area to try Kimber. I have a Kimber compact stainless .45 too. Sort of Officer model in size.

Nice photo. I like Kimber. They make a nice weapon. I am a 45 fan. My preferred pistol caliber.

You bet Dan! I went thru a time where I was into the .40, I even had a Glock for a while (until it was stolen from my truck). It was a bit poppy for me, of course the Glock was a different animal altogether. I was damn good with a Colt revolver shooting .357 Wow, that was fun LOL! But I always came back to the tried and true ..........1911! They are a thing of beauty, and proven.

I sold a Springfiled Armory 1911 to help finance a Kimber Team Match I shot IDPA and Steel Challenge with for some years. Unlike the Springer, the Kimber never missed a beat on me. I love that pistol.

Impressive Paul! My dad had a Springfield, not a bad pistol, but I liked my Kimber better. So did he LOL. We had problems with the 2 piece guide rod all the time on that Springfield.

Now I want to go out and shoot..........I need to. Good talking with you Paul:)
