Thanks. I am shooting with my Tam 16-300 and it is, the gods help me, showing issues again. As before (and as with the 150-600), I am seeing an inability to lock focus when it has no reason to not and also with jumping exposures when doing bursts.

Here we go again

Sorry for the gear woes. I can't see the EXIF on my phone, and assumed it was your 90mm macro. Even so, the blurriness is more than what I'd expect from a super zoom, unless some other factor came into play (subject movement, slow shutter, etc.)

Doing a second take of the pic with the yellow flowers on my PC - the petals on the top left look sharp, but the rest of the petals on the borders seem to have a double image, particularly in the bottom half, where subject movement would be less, if anything. So I'm a bit stumped as to what might be going on, but it does point to a possible lens hardware issue as you suggest.

The new 150-600 has arrived, but it is drizzling and gray outside, so just a coupe of hasty shots from the front stoop
