Storm Warning!!

Thanks, Kevin. Everything at my place is good; Hermine was a non-factor at home. I drove down to central Florida today and there are a lot of trees down in some places. In Gainesville, there is a lot of debris and a lot of traffic signals weren't working, so the police were at most intersections. A lot of places one the water from Cedar Key around to Apalachicola are apparently damaged by storm surge. My parents' place is also just fine without storm damage.

I'm glad it was not a problem for richnmib, either.

Good luck to the rest of the country affected and about to be affected by this storm.

What kind of name is Hermine for a hurricane, and who picked it? Hurricanes should have tough sounding names, like Hurricane Burt, or Hurricane Clint or even Hurricane Harley.

Just a rain storm for me but with some 40-50mph wind gusts. Thanks for asking.

Looks like it's in Pat's @RockyNH area now stay safe Pat

Kevin, thanks for the thoughts, they are appreciated!!

We are well and had no issues at the ponderosa... local flooding, 80000+ without power and a reported tornado 25 miles away that destroyed 8 homes and damaged another dozen.

We had rain and winds around 40 and gusting to 50 but none of the other issues... We were fortunate.

Thanks again,
Pat in Savannah

If you really want tough, go back to only naming them after women! Goodness, I'd never want to run into a Camille!
