Hi folks,
I've just purchased the above (arrives tomorrow) what are your thoughts on this lens for landscapes, the images I've seen have been stunning but would like your thoughts

I love this lens. It's very lightweight. The nice thing is it allows front filters--not all wide angle zooms do. It isn't weather sealed (no gasket on the rear), but read up on the lens and make your own informed decision. I have no regrets.

Hi
Just ordered this one, used, as new. Will post some photos by the weekend Reason why;
not big n bulky as the old 17-35, not too expensive as 14-35. The 16-35 was long into consideration but as a old and retired amateur I found this 18-35 to fit my needs in picture quality vz size of my wallet ;-)

Cost was a major influence however seen some photos taken with this lens and a D750 and they were amazing, rich colours and sharp, I was toying with the 16-35 VR but even at the long end of 35mm, VR isn't really needed and 2mm of a difference was nothing to me. Lens arrives today so will try and get some photos with it however the british weather can be lets say unpredictable to say the least :) hopefully ill get a chance to try it out over the next couple of days
