Took a couple pictures of the clouds around my old farm house. The storms are starting to roll in now, but for a while the sky was just beautiful. We bought the house planning to fix it up. Turns out it still needs fixin' up, she's holding up okay. Me I am bit slower. God's plans were a bit different than mine, but I am content... and thankful for a nice view and a front porch.

07, July, 2016 The Capital Rotunda - It was a dreary day today and for the first time in a while I felt up to getting out and taking some photos so I went to the Capitol in Frankfort; it is not to far away. I only took the Sigma 10-20 f/3.5 with me. I really enjoyed using that lens today.
The slight obstruction in this shot is the Lincoln statue. I had to lean on it to look up for the shot of the dome, but I like the way he was part of the shot. It was a good morning.

I see there is room at the bottom to add more names. I, for one, hope there is no future need to do so.
And what is sad, is that for the life of me, I cannot decide which candidate for the presidency is most likely to let loose the dogs of war.

8, July, 2016 Reluctant Wedding Photog
I was asked some time ago to take photos at a wedding... with a different spin. His wife asked that I get some photos of the photographer. Gene is the grandfather of the bride, and like most of us, is more comfortable behind the camera then in front. He is shooting the wedding, and I am helping out where I can. Went to the rehearsal last night and got a few just to practice
