But there is a twist. The selfie was taken with the Df on a tripod in self-timer mode... :)

Lol! When you first posted this, I too thought it was taken in a mirror until I saw the Nikonites logo wasn't backwards. Granted Marcel could have reversed the image, but then I looked at the background and figured he didn't have a mirrored wall in that room.

Just what is that photo in the background, Marcel? That caught my eye. How big is it?

It's an HDR of "Pointe à la Renommée", in the St-Lawrence golf where Marconi sent the first earth to ship telecommunication in 1904. There is a museum in the small building beside the lighthouse. The print is 24x36.

When we got there it was sunny but the cloud quickly swarmed in and the light was just so nice that I had to shoot it HDR.

Here's the shot (not hidden by myself).

Thanks for letting me know, Marcel! It is an absolutely gorgeous image and definitely worthy of hanging in your home. When seeing it in the background of your other image, it looked larger than 24x36. Truly a stunning piece of art! ;)

Well since it's cold and snowy outside you'll have to suffer yet another cat portrait. This time with my X-E2 and 18-55 lens. I've yet to run into a Nikon lens that sharp. This lens makes me think of my older Leica lenses... Oh, this is from the straight out of camera jpeg file.

Today's daily shot was made with my Fuji XE2. This is a straight out of the camera jpeg just reduced in size for this forum.

This is beautiful, Marcel. May I ask what lens you used? Is it a prime or a zoom?

Prime Sigma 150 macro 2.8.

Here's another done afterwards from a different angle and lighting. Maybe a tiny bit oversaturated...

It seems my Sigma 150 is stuck on my D700 (figure of speech). I'm enjoying it a lot.

This one is a bit of an abstract and I just loved the movement illusion of the flower on the right that seems to be running toward the one on the left.

Wild apple tree in my backyard just started to bloom. Unfortunately, it got frozen after the first buds came out and the flowers are very scarce.

I opted to NOT use any sharpening for this shot just to keep the soft subtle feel of these wild apple tree flowers. Same tree as yesterday's pic, but with a much softer light.
