Did you restart your puter after the update? Mine did that as well but it is better now after a restart, plus I killed a bunch of start up items in Task manager as well. You'd be surprised how many unnecessary programs are running in the background.

Oh man, I am glad I didn't up jump on this so soon. I get frustrated when crap doesn't work the way it is supposed to.
Will wait until I see what is happening.

I have been on CC for a year now and other than the graphic processor acceleration being turned on by default I have never had any problems. It did take some digging to find a way to turn it off since going to the menu option to turn it off would crash the program. On a couple of occasions a update did turn it back on so I always check that with the first sign of trouble after a update.

CC is well worth the upgrade.

Didn't the PS cloud have some Mac specific issues?
I guess since I would have everything stored on my own back-up it couldn't hurt to give it a go. I need to make a decision because my old Elements 8 is crashing on me, and it is missing a bunch of features I could be using. I could go with the cloud service or a later version of Elements.
People seem to going to the cloud service so maybe e I should just jump on that train.

I only use real computers so I can't help you with the fruit computers

I really tried to stay quiet... I busted out laughing when I read this much like RocketCowboy... but the Only Apple trademark I had any use for was Apple Records... Some of you will remember that was started by the Beatles... Some will be scratching your head saying who's the Beatles... never did care for the other... but that is just me.

That creative cloud almost bricks my laptop, it comes with a lot of excess baggage. Had to uninstal Lr and Ps whats the alternative for casual hobbist photographer? Already use Picassa but it a little light on features.
I'm a bit late to the "party" but I use Adobe Elements, which I think is a cut down version of Lightroom (for the catalog) and PS for the editing... I've used it since version 5, and only buy upgrades every 3 years or so. Last version I bought cost me £60 (I look out for it coming on flash sales). I think you can download a trial version to see if it works for your workflow.

I have 2 HP laptops and a HP Desktop.

I only laugh because it's all the same hardware, unlike 10 years ago when we could debate Intel x86 vs PowerPC architecture differences.

That said, I do like how my Apple products are constructed, and how well they've held up vs what I've used previously. Hopefully Apple doesn't continue to neuter OS X in their attempts to make it more like iOS, but time will tell.
