This is an old flash that came with the older cameras i was given. I have a feeling that it went to a Nikon.??? There was a Nikon strap with it. I didnt think it worked at first. It must take a while to charge. I tried the test button several times. Then I hit the button on accident and the flash scared the hell out of me.

I have an old Toshiba Royal Seven very similar to what you have pictured there. It is AC plug in the wall charge...or AC just plug in the wall and use...got to have a PC cord or whatever to use it though...it's a neat old flash...I also have a SB-E which I have been wanting to try on my D5000 but I need to get some triple a's to do that and I'm a lazy SOB...haha

You've got to be careful with these old flashes Jeff. The voltage needed to fire them can get back into your DSLR and fry it. You need the right hot shoe adapter with a voltage surge protector. The only way I'd use one would be with an optical slave to fire them safely.
