Looks like Gertrude abandoned her nest. It's been well over 35 days since we first spotted her. We've seen broken eggs on the sidewalk and she hasn't been around in two days.

I couldn't figure why the two Egyptian geese were squawking so vigorously when I walked by and then I spotted this single gosling. Its either really late or really early.

There are two new sets of the egyptians at yorba @wev 1 had 3 chicks the other has 8. Seen them both in the last 2 weeks.

Yeah, this weather has everything scrambled up. The bluebirds are starting to build nests and my salvias are setting blooms already.

Not for the squeamish - don't know what happened. It's been two weeks since I've been to Wako. Momma is gone and I didn't see the other sibling.
