Downloaded the trial of DxO Viewpoint 2 and even my wife loves it and want me to get it so that is a no brainer. I did see the DxO Optics Pro so downloaded the trial of it while I was playing. It seems like it does a good job too. Has anyone used it and if so what are your opinions?
I was about to make a post about this myself. I've been playing with it since yesterday.
After I downloaded Viewpoint 2, it appeared in LR as a plugin. After downloading Optics Pro 10 I did not find it in LR as a plugin . I can export from OP10 into LR but not the other way around.
Now on my thoughts on the software itself.
It is a bit slower on my machine then LR or PS are. I really like the "Clearview" function. Much better IMO than "Dehaze" in LR.
What I really really like is the NR on this thing. IMO it is better at preserving detail than "Define" in Nik Tool, which is what I normally use. (I do have to admit that I am not fully knowledgeable in "Dfine" so it might be on my end.
As far as organizing goes, I'll stick with LR. Also, there is no selective brush or radial filter in OP10..I don't think that I will be keeping it as it will not replace LR and it would be an expensive addition to LR< PS and NIK.
