Sometimes I get very sad cos people burn everything everywhere without thinking of their environment or pollution.

Have you ever had the chance to sit on the bow of a fishing boat and just follow how it is moving on swells and look to the open sea or approaching coast?
I got that chance at Pattaya, where we went out for Octopus night fishing. I tried to capture the view of the idyllic Pattaya city skyline of from the not so slow moving fisher boat. It was not that easy as I thought.
Here are some photos taken with my second Nikon, a D5100 and the Nikon 16-85mm lens. Not an ideal lens for that job, but it did very well I as you can see.

... all handheld and I have to say that the 35mm is great.

Great photographs Michael! I immediately checked your EXIF data, saw that you deployed your 35mm f/1.8 and you confirmed in your post how much you enjoy this lens. One of these days I'll have to give in and add one to my camera bag.
