Take photos that are normally ruined by light pollution.
Thanks mate, I had to be quick as the moon was rising to the right of the image and would then wash out the milkyway.WOW! Nice shot, Scott!
Very nice. Was that the Nikon 14mm f/2.8?
Nice captures,in answer to your question i sit quietly no TV or any thing, just the light from a candle and listen to the clock tick, the lights come back all to soon.
A great shot Scott. Shame we hardly get amount power cuts in the uk. But I have some dark skies down here in Cornwall![]()

Yes it was pure luck how each tree has the milkyway going into it.The problem is we need dark and clear skies at the same time in the UK. This doesn't happen too often...
Great shot, Scott! Excellent composition, taking these trees into account.
Thanks, I used the Rokinon 14mm f/2.8
You cannot hope that infinity is infinity, I didn't try hard to get sharp focus as it was just a quick snap. I do roughly know where infinity is though. I have many others that I have taken and am quite happy with the IQ, there is some distortion but this is easily fixed in LR.Hmmm... Do you have the full resolution image somewhere I could look at? I was considering the Sigma 10-20 f3.5, but picking up an extra stop would be nice. So the focus ring... you just turn it to infinity and it is actually focused on infinity?
Thanks!
I am pretty sure the rokinon and samyang are one and the same. This looks identical to the Samyang. Do you know if that is true?
Yeah distortion is not something I'm concerned about... only sharpness and CA, and SLRGear says this lens is pretty stellar at both.
This is around 7 vertical images merged via the Panorama function, not focus stacking was done so the background and foreground are out of the same image.Hi Scott, great shot, is this 1 photo shot or several shots then stacked in Photoshop/Lightroom?
