Another delightful catch up on a great thread.

I don't know how you manage but every time I come here the photos are even better than the last lot. Not sure how that can be possible.
Loved the dice and hands shot and the roses!!

Great work

Wow. Thank you, Lawrence!

Some days I do feel like I'm accomplishing something and improving; other days still feel like I should be doing so much more. I'm looking for something more in what I'm shooting subject wise. Flowers and birds are nice and can be fun, but can't anyone take a flower or bird pic?

I really want to start more portrait work and even street photography, but am stuck before I even start. I need to get over wanting a full studio setup before I take portrait pics. LoL. Also don't want to seem like some crazed perv out asking women (or men) to pose for me. 😜

Have I rambled on enough without saying much yet? LoL. I guess I'm just looking for that next step forward and don't know where it's coming from.

Thank you, Merek! On most occasions I do use a spray bottle; even outdoors. Rain is great, but never seems t be there when you want it. I set the nozzle to a mist, but use a slow spraying technique that gives me larger droplets at a slow steady rate. It took a few times to figure out just what I liked to see from the water. I wanted a repeatable process that didn't scream "fake".

And there was me thinking it always rained where you live :D

Is it eating a lady bug David?

sure looks like it, nice catch David

Well caught, never seen a picture of one eating before.

Thanks you guys (and gal)! Ladybug lunch it is. Sat there and muched away as I tried to shoot. It was on the other side of a big clump of weeds in a snaky tick filled part around the lake. I wanted to get closer, but was not walking through that stuff! LoL.

I do have a few more shots I'll post up in the dragonfly post later.
