Thanks Mike! Their parents found a great place for a nest so it would be difficult for photographers to shoot them. It was by chance that the wind moved the leaves away enough for a shot. Went back after supper and couldn't see them.

Thought I found a good subject for this weeks theme - Out of Place - but I couldn't get a good shot. This boat is between two gated communities with a chain link fence on the road.

Thanks Kevin! They're around, but don't see as many this year. Only saw a couple of nesting areas and when the kids were ready to fly, they were gone.

After being chased, the hawk was resting quietly

A Blue Jay didn't like where it was resting, but didn't push the issue

but the male Red Winged Blackbird just wouldn't let the matter rest

My arms got tired holding up the Tamzooka, so I took a rest. That's when the hawk had had enough. Missed the flight, but saw where it went. Too far and to much nature.

Early evening moon

This was taken at Wako. The kicker is, on my pedal home, I noticed the con trail of a jet across the moon. It had moved away by the time I stopped.
