Spent a lot of time getting rid of the other people on this shot which I used in my 52 in 2015.

You know you can achieve the same effect without all the PP effort? 10-stop ND filter on, long exposure, job done. :)

Obviously, you have to carry a tripod with you...

I have read about that technique and seen examples but never tried it so far. If I am out by myself I will certainly give it a go.

On the day it wasn't possible as I didn't have my tripod with me.

In the articles I read I didn't think the ND filter was necessary as you do median stacking on a series of shots.

Ah, median stacking, indeed! I've never used it myself, but I understand the concept and know it can work well. Have to try it one day.

Heres one I fixed for the City Of North Little Rock Christmas card. The original photographer didn't take the car out. But they asked if I could fix it for them.

Little Rock: The only guy I know from Little Rock says people always ask the Little Rock folk, "Are all those stories about Bill and Hillary Clinton true?" And they always answer, "Yes, and I know a dozen other good ones you've never heard."

Good job! I haven't been to the North Little Rock downtown area, but I have done some wondering around downtown LR by the convention center.

I hope it wasn't after when the sun went down. LOL

Funny you say that. My father in-law is friends with Bills head of security on Bills detail while he was governor. I've heard quite a few.

Took my daughter yesterday to see Frozen on Ice...weeee. While we were waiting to leave the parking lot, figured I'd take a shot of the Astrodome. I took two shots in order to get the entire thing. Figured I'd merge the two together in photoshop.

Here are the first two pics before merging.

I copied both pics over into photoshop as new layers.
Once in photoshop, I selected both layers and then chose Edit - Auto Align Layers
This merges the two into one picture. I then edited out the light pole. Giving me the following picture.

I then added another layer and brought in a picture of some clouds I had taken last year at the lake.

I did use the clone stamp to fill in some of the empty spaces between the trees. Once completed I saved back into lightroom. In lightroom I made just a slight increase on the clarity. I then exported it to Nik Silver Efects for the black and white conversion.

This technique can come in handy when you don't happen to have a wide angle lens on you.

Like the first one best but to paraphrase Willie, Papa don't let you daughters grow up to be cowgirls.:) When I see Willie next I will ask him to work on a whole set of lyrics for that ditty.

Here is one that just had too many distractions, so they were removed (GIMP). Preprocessed with Capture NX-d (1st Photo shows NX-D results). Second photo is with the distractions removed.

I am starting to play around more. First image is almost straight from Capture NX-D Second is after adding border using GIMP. Third is using some layers and overlay to see how it would enhance.

Feedback Please! I know this is not in the Photo Evaluation section, but your comments pro or con are appreciated. Composition, ways to improve, throw it out, etc. :) Thanks

Did you download Perfect Effects 9? I only use it for the borders and it's very handy for those. The advantage is that it can load and process 16bit too. It's also very quick since you can put your borders in favorites; load, click, save and done.
