third one is awesome great shot, pushing the limits of iso , looks pretty clean though what software did you use for noise?

Thank you, sir. Definitely high in the ISO side. Was super cloudy and late in the day. Was testing out a new birding stump I made for the back patio. Sun is coming out today, so I'm hoping for some good shots! I just used Lightroom noise reduction on this one. I still need to look into a separate program just for that purpose.

Investing that time to tweak the 400 range seems to be worth it. I had to adjust AF quite a bit but it hits it right now. Too bad it is low light and too grey out there to really see what it could do.

This is one I can't recall ever having seen here before. I spotted five of them in the distance some week ago but they're easily startled and keep too much distance. I stumbled upon these two today but had the short lens with me.

I couldn't get a better shot in and when I tried getting closer, they were gone.

They're coastal birds and the coast is some 130 miles from here. Only if they got cash in their pockets and buy them at the store, they'll find oysters here. ;)

I'm surprised to see them.
