Re: Scott's Australian Walkabout

Ok here is another test flight of my DJI drone, not very exciting and I could have done more but it was hot and humid. Also carrying it into some areas is a no no.

Scott, just one question: Have you tried to make the ground and river a little colder? To me, bringing the ground to a more bluish cast would make it look more like night. Right now it almost look as if there is a mixture of night and day. Just a thought. I'm afraid to try it myself since you've indicated that you don't want others to process your images. So I'll let you be the judge.

Great shot!

Hi Marcel yes I have tried that but it seems so wrong as the area it is taken is a warm natural colour. I will try again on my days of with some more different editing techniques. This one is not a simple drag/adjust one and I think it has potential. If it doesn't I will be revisiting this place when there is no moonlight as I think this will allow for a better shot or maybe a small quarter moon.

I think you might have to do it in photoshop with a color balance layer that you could mask. Trial and error is so much nice to have in digital when someone knows how much trouble this would have been in the old film days. But you would be too young to know. ;)
