Nice, Jack. Have to get one myself. If nothing else; it'll be a great backup for $20.

Also ordered this one today: Calumet Pro-D CK7048 - rated to 26lbs

The small stuff is slowly arriving. My 10 stopper. If you think about it, filters cost a lot of money in comparison to lenses. And this isn't even an expensive one.

Got the Calumet Ballhead in today and had to post a couple quick cell shots of it. Wow! This thing is a beast and a half. Rock solid and soooooo smooth. Ordering another one tonight before they're all gone!!!

Not a lot of NAS for Christmas, but other things, instead, that can be said to "support" the habit. ;)

My Passport Ultra 1 TB portable drive (great for storing all these freakin' photos!)
Apple TV (man, those pics look GOOD on a 50" Plasma!)
Bose SoundLink Mini (groovin' tunes take the tedium out of editing!)
Starbucks Gift Cards (to keep the shooter shootin' on those long and/or cold days!)
A little cash on the side (NIK tools in the very near future!)

I'm a blessed man, and enjoyed the time with my Mom, wife and kids more than any of the gifts... Hope each of your holiday gatherings is just as blessed!

I searched to find the maximum load capacity, and with its ability to support 26 pounds, that's pretty impressive!

Just ordered one myself. They are still in stock, and for 15 bucks plus 12 dollars shipping you can't go wrong.

You have a good point there BT. I have a tripod though, and don't know if I'll be buying another one. I have a mefoto....road trip, which can convert into a monopod also. The one you ordered is just the ballhead, and I'd need to order a tripod without the head, correct?

Yes this is just the head. You should be able to switch heads on your tripod .

It took a long time to find one of these in this condition for a reasonable price. The body, motor and lens came to less than $150. I am not sure if I will get any more Zuiko lenses because an adapter to mount all of my Nikkors and retain infinity focus is only $15. What lens did Olympus make that I don't already have or need in a Nikkor
