Liking it so far but it is not super fast. But for the subject matter I will use it on it will not matter. Mostly I will be compressing landscapes and getting close ups of flowers that I cannot otherwise get closer to. Do not know about the teleconverters but the dreaded "Rockwell Site" might say.Hi - is it possible to use a teleconverter on this lens? I have a Vivitar Series 1 70-210 and I don't believe one will work on that lens. How do you like the AF performance on this lens? Thanks!
The D700 and AF-S 18-35 ED I recently purchased.

The 18-35 is going to take a little getting used to with its distortion but I've gotten a few pretty good test shots with it.
As I continue to save for the 70-200mm (looking toward the Tamron VC), I purchased a nice/used 35mm 1.8G for $125 this week. Hope to run a bit of shots through it this week to try it out on my D7100
I have my Nikkor 70-210 f4 on ebay as well.
My son's outdoor sports season is complete, moved indoors. Selling to help fund the next piece of glass.Curious @carguy why you are flipping the 70-210 f/4?
I've always wanted one of those, maybe next spring for some cool outdoor shots! Taken any yourself yet?Just a little prop for photo fun, thanks to Wendy's pics.![]()
