Been having problem adjusting my tripod since I have RA and have been researching better heads for my use. Finally decided on a pistol grip ball head. This is the one I got today. So far I really like it and think it will be a lot easier and faster for me to use.

I've been eye balling this one as well. I might have to pull the trigger on one too, pun intended..

So far I really like it. I did have a problem locking it in the portrait position till I realized it has an adjustment to tighten the drag. Once I did that it locked into wherever I wanted. I am doing a night shoot with some friends on Monday so it will get tested then.

It is heavy (2 lbs) and made of all steel so I think it is going to be good.

iPhone 6 Plus. Yes, it's large, but it serves two purposes... 1, my 45 year old eyes don't have to strain as much to see it, and 2, the image quality is AMAZING! New device for quick photo previews on a shoot! (Also, FYI, it's a lot sturdier than YouTube videos would lead you to believe, especially in a case)

Happy now? :p

BTW, I also purchased a 150w lamp to replace the anemic 40w that had been installed.
Well, Sparky it is a good start. Pleased to see you using Ilford paper. But, if you think about it hard enough, I am sure you could think of other do-dads that you are also going to need to make it all work. It is the season to spend money.

Most of the 'do-dads' came with the enlarger. Safelight, contrast filters, timer, etc. Even it there was paper & chemicals with it, I'd toss that stuff out as this was all was sitting in a basement for about 8-10 years. Trays, paper & developer was all I needed to buy to complete the entire ensemble.

Hey, I just bought another lens, I am doing my part and now i will have to buy a poarizer for it. Although I must admit I have not spent as much as in years past. Just bought a new car and Mama needs a new long coat so my photography wants are mostly now on hold.

A few weeks ago, I bought an iPhone 6. First fruit product I have owned (or really had anything to to with). Not sure which I like better, the old Windows phone or this one. Both have advantages. Ha!

It's not the plus, but I did get a Griffin "Survivor" case (Mil Grade) for it.

Congrats buddy! So what's next my friend, a Flash? ;)

No, I don't do flash, unless it flips up from the camera.:dejection: I have enough headaches as it is.
That's pretty much it for a while. I'm set with lenses. I was looking at the 70-300VR, but honestly I'm shooting more and more landscape shots with my Tokina,. If I need more reach, I have the 18-140 which is a great lens.
I may buy some odds and ends like a thin profile CP filter for the Tokina or stuff like that.
I can still dream about the D750, but that's not happening unless you win the lottery and set me up.:p

Otterbox Commuter along with one of the Invisisble Shield tempered glass screen protectors. Slim enough it doesn't add just a whole lot of bulk or weight to the phone, strong enough to protect it from my occasional fumble. :) Got those with it free... long story, but free is good.

Does FREE stuff count as 'purchases'?

If so, I hauled this puppy home today.

Seems to work fine so far. Lamp lights, motor works.

4x5, 6x7 and 35mm carriers, 2 safelights, Nikor 50mm lens, two lensboards, compete and barely used set of 12 Ilford polycontrast filters, timer, and misc. sundry items as well.

You and @Bill16 ought to get together and start a pawn shop or museum!
