Hey PhilNZ - got me one of those Wacom tablets a year or so ago. Doodling - maybe - my drawings look like the art from the daycare. A skill I have not YET mastered - well have not yet even begun to use well at all. Hopefully you'll do better than I did with this new toy. Enjoy.

Picked up one of these second hand earlier today. They cost a bloody fortune new but got a really good deal on it. They are €265 new and the guy had it for sale for €200. Less than a year old, he sent the receipt with it, it was bought in February from a local store.

I offered €130 for it expecting some haggling and was prepared to see what figure he would accept but to my surprise he accepted my opening offer.

Does FREE stuff count as 'purchases'?

If so, I hauled this puppy home today.

Seems to work fine so far. Lamp lights, motor works.

4x5, 6x7 and 35mm carriers, 2 safelights, Nikor 50mm lens, two lensboards, compete and barely used set of 12 Ilford polycontrast filters, timer, and misc. sundry items as well.

That looks mighty cool, but I do not think we can count it as a purchase. We want you out there spending dinero.;) I suppose we. Could change the name of the thread read to " Post your recent acquisitions"

Oh trust me. I'll be spending money. Trays, tongs, chemicals, paper............

And a 90mm lens, too!

105mm ? What lens is that going on?

It screws onto a filter holder system that attaches to your lens so you can have filters in the holder that can be moved and rotated independantly of the polarizer and vice versa if that makes sense. Its the Lee 100mm holder system which sits onto an adaptor ring on your lens. The addaptor ring I`m using is a 72mm to match my wide angle lenses.

Been having problem adjusting my tripod since I have RA and have been researching better heads for my use. Finally decided on a pistol grip ball head. This is the one I got today. So far I really like it and think it will be a lot easier and faster for me to use.
