Thanks Marilynne, you have a great one too! It is about 2 1/2 hours further but we are breaking the trip in to 2 days since we can!

A couple of night pictures on my trip home from Michigan..

The other day at the refuge, I saw something I had not seen before in the wild, EVER..

A Bobcat! (actually 2 as a smaller (female?) appeared briefly)

I was actually exiting the refuge in my truck when I spotted the cat in my left side mirror... thinking it was just a stray cat, I almost drove away. Then backed up to try and photo it anyway. It was right on the brush line down from the dirt road I was on and as I backed up past him, I realized it was not a stray. He was leery of me but not spooked, as I got close enough to try and take a picture he began moving along the brush line. I kept moving with him.. then saw the 2nd cat. She followed him a ways but kept darting into the brush until he turned and followed her off.

Not the greatest but 1st ever for me of a bobcat in the wild....
