Hey look, a fellow Buffalonian! We do love our wings!!
Now for my opinions and suggestions
The flowersAs stated before, they are over exposed. The colors are OK, but I will add that they are out of focus as well.
The dogThe focus was missed here as well. Its dead smack on the nose, instead of the eyes. This is a common
error with taking pictures of dogs, because the nose is much closer. select your own focus point
next time and do not let the camera do it, problem solved. Also, its quite grainy, especially in the eyes. If the eyes were in focus it may not be so noticable. Lower that ISO some and slow the shutter
to compensate if light is an issue. Post exif data and gear combo next time. It helps.
The cat
This is the better of the 3 images in terms of focus. Its spot on, and on the eye right where it should be.I do see alot of grain in the background, but you lose it in the cat, whichis OK. Grain isn't always bad, it just depends on the image. I would like to see the cat in this case, closer to the right side of the
frame instead of in the center, but thats just a personal pref. The only thing that REALLY kills this pic for me, is the fact that the tips of his ears are cut off.
The statue
I will be completely honest. This one just doesn't work. I dont like whatever focus effect you tried to put on it, the angle is off and the overall composition is off. The top of its head is cut off. This should have been approached probably head on, and vertical.
In the future, unless getting real creative with different angles etc, try and get the whole subject in the frame, SOMEHOW. Ears, feet, fingers, hands, toes, tops of heads etc etc. Master the basics before tackling new ideas and experiments!
