camera display not showing pictures

You could try another lens if you have one, have you taken off the lens and reattach it, just to make sure It is seated correctly.
(and make sure the lens cap is off)

i tried a different lens and still had the same problem.( with the lens cap OFF) and we have tried to do that factory reset with no change. i'm thinking that it may be something internal, cause the lens works fine, the view finder works fine, and the lcd screen works fine so i'm thinking it may be a connection somewhere.

It's something yeah but unless you know what you're doing, I'd not open the cam to check. You could do more harm than good.

Did you buy this new, if so contact them and explain the problem,

Also another quick question,can you see the menu on the screen,

Did you try to remove the lens and actually have a look at what might be happening? Mirror rise and shutter opening are required for a picture to register.
Have you tried to shoot manual and use iso 1600, 2 sec shutter at f 3.5? This setting should give you a white picture if the camera works.
