In the end, it's just an internet forum. Some folks take this "place" far to seriously. There is a big, wide world out there that is far more important. In the end, it's water off a duck's back. Life goes on.
Yes life goes on, and there are more important things to worry over I agree, but as someone who almost walked away from a forum because I didnt like the way I felt I had been treated, I empathise with others that feel they need to leave a place. All I was getting at was that some newer members might not get the "in jokes" or personalities of long term members. I moderate at the forum I almost walked from, and there have been a number of members get their knickers in a twist about something that they misunderstood, its very easily done on an international forum, some have come back under a different name, a few have not... but each time a new member joins a large friendly forum like this the existing members ought to allow for a settling in period - the vast majority here are really good at that, but if someone comes in with a question that is a regularly asked question, its easy to link to a prior post, or answer the question... or point them in the right direction. Although, I'm not saying this was the case in this members decision for leaving
I guess I am just trying to say something like "give each other space, and respect others opinions" or something like that
