I've regretted every bike I've ever sold. That may be why I still have four :D

You would be missing a fair bit of grunt going to the BMW wouldn't you?

A lot less grunt, but much better for cross country riding when I can't be certain what the road surface (if there was one) might be. Oh, and cruise control instead of throttle lock. :)

A friend of mine just made the same switch, but then again he has sold a busa twice before and gone back to it, so we'll see how long it lasts this time. You got any thoughts of going back? Just seems like a lot of bike to me, I prefer something a little more nimble in the corners.

No problem @DraganDL. The live version is much funnier then the studio one.
:)

Exactly. Arlo is/was an outstanding showman, not only rock music author and performer (you can get anything you want, at Alice's restaurant - except Alice). I believe, he might have become a new Lenny Bruce/Bill Hicks-like star if he only wanted so.

More nimble? My RT is a blast in the corners!

I sold my 2004 Suzuki SV1000S that I also had along with my R1200RT earlier this month. The SV is what funded my Nikon addiction. Granted, the SV was no Busa, but the RT is just a lot more fun for me when the roads got tight and I wanted a big smile. The best part of the SV was that big v-twin exhaust note.

I'd love to have another Busa, but don't see that happening since I got married. If Lisa is going to get out on anything, it's the RT. It's all about the comfort at this point. :D

This is shot taken for a class I was taking a year or so ago. It took some serious convincing before management granted me access to the "punch bowl" (the center of the track) so I could snag good shots like this instead of having to hang out in the peanut gallery. As I recall this won "Shot of the Week" in my class... So yeah. I got that going for me.

Yeah, I meant more nimble than a busa. The RT looks like a good mix of comfort and fun. I have a couple of GSXR1000's that are race bikes and for the road a ZX-10R and a ZX-6R for some fun on the mountain roads. It's not really about comfort for me and the lovely wife is far too sensible to get on the back of a bike that I'm piloting. Don't get out on the roads much anymore though, the race track just has so much more appeal these days.

That's a great shot fish. It's so hard to get good shots at the track these days cos they don't let anyone in the infield at the tracks I go to anymore. Phillip Island is the worst for things like that, nobody is allowed anywhere around the circuit except the pits. I would love some photos like that, great capture. It's the only situation where is rather be in the photo than take it

I ended up with the Busa after I waded my GSXR750 on the track. The 750 was a lot of fun on the track. Never got the RT to the track.

What a great track bike. There are some tracks around here that the 750 would be ideal for and I'd love one, but I'm pretty sure there would be divorce papers put in front of me, no discussion, just sign!! I'm lucky enough to live about an hour away from the Phillip Island GP circuit and get down there a bit, so you really need 1000 to make the most of that place, it's a scary fast track.
