Good capture.

Hope you have better look than i did, insect bites never bothered me then about 30 years ago i had one and instead of removing it i let my mate take pictures of it sucking blood, had a bad reaction to them ever since.

These sorts of bitey things don't generally bother me but ticks certainly do, and leeches, and wasps and bullants. Seems the older I get the worse I react :(

7th Oct 2014.....279/365.....Gotcha!!

Went to the park to find a bloke playing ball with his 2 Border Collies. This one had one blue eye and one brown eye.

2nd prize flowers

I had hoped to be posting the blood moon but it's totally clouded over here, and virtually all up the east coast where the majority of the population live :( So you get flowers

281/365...steam engine

I am crap at editing. I edited out a parking sign and stuffed up the gutter on the rooftop and then couldn't fix it, so don't look at 100% please :D I am getting better, but some things I still just can't get quite right. I did also "try" to correct the distortion, but again failed as I was also merging 2 shots in order to get the whole engine in the shot. Couldn't win with anything tonight :( So it looks a bit funny. It's all I have.

in lightroom i am able to "sync" images. That is, copy changes to one to another or a series of images. Check if your software allows this

@Vixen you get 110% from me for trying - only way to learn.

I still keep doing it and not getting it quite right. It sucks and is very frustrating but knowing that it can be done keeps you going forward. One day you will look back and laugh at this.

It's when I come to removing unwanted stuff, like the powerlines and parking sign that were in the original that I come unstuck. I often end up making a huge mess once I get the clone tool and/or healing brushes in hand (in PS).

I am very much a learner when It comes to that sort of editing ;)

I CAN sync images in RAW, and I assume in PS also although I haven't looked for that but not sure it would help in this case. I basically made 2 HDR images, merged to a pano, extended the edges out to fill out the frame and then edited/cropped out the unwanted items. I think it was the filling the frame by cloning that was the problem but had I cropped and not filled I would not have got as much space around the engine. It would have been a VERY tight crop.

I will laugh for sure. One day the lightbulb will just come on over my head and I'll wonder why I stuffed up so much beforehand :D It's all a learning curve :D

If I can offer a suggestion... When it comes to removing big objects in photos, try doing a loose selection around the object you want removed using whichever selection tool you like best (I'm a Lasso sorta guy for this). This should *not* be a "tight" right-on-the-edge selection, put a cm or two of blank space all around the object you want removed (this may require a little experimentation but you get the idea). Once roughly selected, go to "Edit... Fill". Select "Content Aware" from the menu and click "OK"

(Magic happens)

Go back to your selection area and tidy up, if necessary, using the Clone Stamp.

Just something that might work for you...

Ah.....thanks HF, I shall try that suggestion. There are sooooo many ways to do stuff, it gets kinda confusing and hard to remember them all. I'm sure once I get more practised I'll remember.

I really try to take the shot WITHOUT all the crap in it but you can't always avoid it. :D

what i was thinking, use lens corection (for tilt) in one photo and sync the second to it. Then do the two shot pano and then the other post processing. I could never stay between the lines in grade school coloring class and digital is no better, (spots i can do :) ) anything beyond that it is better that i leave it in.

I tried that Ron. Couldn't get the photos to merge. The trouble with fixing the distortion is you lose a fair whack of the image on the edges which is why I left it on the 2nd attempt to merge the pics to the pano :(

OK....I tried this. Magic happened OK but it was all black magic :( The content aware tried to pull in windows and all sorts of crap. Like most things, it works on "some" but not "all" images I guess.

I feel like I'm on that circular one sometimes. I just liked the pattern of the paths
