Good morning, and thank you very much, Lawrence and Mike! Finally made it by the zoo after half a dozen broken dates to go this summer. It was such a beautiful day to be there. I'll post up a few more pics in just a bit and maybe later today. I ended up with some decent stuff I suppose. Can't say I'm just overly excited about the results, as I seemed to miss quite a few by being in a hurry and not setting up the shot or getting the right focus. Most shots were missed by being just horribly over exposed, and since I'm not processing raw yet (yeah I know, I know), they aren't exactly savable.

Anyway, I had a a fantastic day with the family yesterday. Celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary, the kids were actually a dream to be around ALL day, had a wonderful zoo trip, AND picked up a new to me 35-70 f/2.8 on the way home. Happy Happy.

Great shots David.
It never ceases to amaze me how similar, yet so different, the same birds are around the world :D

Thank you! They are all amazing creatures. I could just spend days wandering around there capturing images. It was a lot tougher than I anticipated while still making it a family trip that was more about the kids than my pictures. :)

Had to stop for a minute to snap off a few of our local collegiate ball players warming up before a game. Need to get back and out on the field for some really good ones soon.
