Thats the downfall of anything this thin. Cant believe people have to prove this and are repeating the same results over and over, instead of just getting a case and waiting for Apple to say something.

Guess its the true definition of insanity

Actually, Galaxy devices have not had this issue. The iphone6 is only about .5ml thinner.

Funny, I read an article online today that actually blames how tight people's pants are instead of pointing out an obvious issue with the construction of the device.

Yep, there are a few videos out there already. Some doing it intentionally, some having the misfortune of finding out the hard way. Though, i think it should only take ONE video to prove to everyone that it can happen, lol. It's funny how cell phones used to be really big, then they became really small (remember some of the Nokia models?) and now they are getting big again. Next thing you know, they will be the size of a tablet, lol. Imagine holding that up to your ear :p

Galaxy Note devices are absurdly large. People just look plain foolish holding them up to their ear in conversation.

Doesn't compare to Mr. Jobs telling the whole world that they don't know how to hold a phone right, lol :)

It's because of both reasons stated. Tightness of pants (plus being in the back pocket when people sit down) plus the fact it's thin, long and made of aluminum. It's bound to happen.

Happens in front pockets also. It's the design/construction all the way.

Just heard about that. Yeah, that tips the balance toward design quality issues quite a bit.

I don't think Apple thought this phone through. Also, spread the word to everyone you know: DO NOT UPDATE TO IOS 8.0.1! Apparently a ton of users are reporting that it killed cell service and Touch ID on their phone.

Come on guys...

I can't believe you haven't heard of the iPhone 6's exciting new iFlex™ Technology! It allows the iPhone 6 to comfortably, and naturally, mold itself to *your* bodies particular contour for all-day wearable comfort.

Anyone here a fan of the new TV series "Extant"? The phones they use a almost clear and do bend and all calls are video. It stars Halle Berry
That is enough reason to watch the show.

Nothing wrong or absurdly wrong with the Samsung Note series.

Yes its large (my Note3 is a 5.9" screen) but once people see just how clear I can see things on it, and the uses I have for it, it makes sense for the size.
A lot of people buy a smartphone these days and probably only ever use it for voice, SMS, WhatsApp, a few photos and the occasional internet browsing.
You would not need the greatest of all phones to do that though.

As for the OP - look at the still shot... the guy's thumbs are white from the pressure being exerted to bend that phone.
I'm pretty sure, any current smartphone would bend/crack under similar over exertion of pressure like that guy is doing.
