A very small bug with beautiful colors, but the breeze was up and I only got one chance before it was off on its way

This is a handful of Oh S***! I was trying to get a shot of the two herons on the logs, it was out of focus and the geese photo bombed the shot!:mad:

I was trying to shoot a dragonfly when I heard a lot of squawking heading in my direction. Bad reaction time on my part so I never unzoomed. They missed me by that much!!:rolleyes:

Apparently we now have a family of Green Herons making the pond on our property their temporary home before they head south. This one was the only one that didn't fly off when I did my daily walk around the pond. He or she, was chuk chuk chuking me and took some shots. I didn't know they could raise their crests like that. Sadly if this wasn't out of focus, had the paddle boat and windmill in the shot, I would have called this shot "Strutter."
