12th August.

Nothing exciting today - project was to play with Perfect Effects 8.
It looked a lot easier and more effective when Matt did it on the video. But I will get there - I am determined.

I was fooling about earlier today with Elements 11 and had a bit of fun creating this new image I want to use as a profile picture on a dating site.
I think I should pull real chicks - not the shallow ones.

If you do it again, try setting up your flash so that it fires thru the smoke. You'll get (in effect) a fast shutter speed shot so you see all the swirls of the smoke :D

I was trying do do something completely different and it involves a striking match suspended and held in fresh air. Where is David Copperfield when you need him?

I tried to make a tyre look cool like Tommy can - failed but hey!
I tried!

The yellow clay soil that predominates around here is clear to see.

I can see why. Check out those spurs!! He is not one to argue with :D Nice shot Lawrence. Black animals/birds are always hard to shoot.

Thanks Vixen

I was trying to get him to turn so that I could get that deep blue reflection in the feathers - you can see a hint of it but not as much as I would have liked. Instead of turning side on he kept coming towards me. I suppose people feed him so he tends to not be shy.

Another one from today. Took a lot of processing to clone out distractions and unfortunately the Church walls are very dirty and were impossible (for me anyway) to get 100% right so … I went for a different finish in Perfect Effects.

A couple more for today and I want to add these for when I look back on this thread.

The first is my new model's dog and the second is my new model who is thrilled with the opportunity to have her photo taken. What a delightful young lass.
