A creek at the bottom of the garden. Bliss!! I expect to see that bridge and creek in future photos Lawrence :D
How could you NOT be happy with that view? :D I like it too

My drive is steep too, but only about 200m not 1.3km. I decided that I should walk up and down the drive twice a day to get some fitness back as I'm useless uphill at the best of times. I can do it and today I did it pulling up a cart load of mulch from the bottom. That buggered me :D

Ok @Vixen you asked for it and it gives me something to concentrate on and produce some good shots. I have looked at if several times but never seen the right angles. This will make me try harder.

@Vixen you asked for it.
Lots of drama getting these including getting my car stuck - on grass! The wheels just spun and I had to walk up the monstrous driveway to fetch the Ute. Pulled the car the required 2 meters then took the Ute back. Followed by the downhill walk to get back to the car. A round trip of about 3 kilometres for the sake of 2 meters. Thanks Vixen - my new favourite Ozzie girlfriend. :)
Actually that's a bit silly cause you really were my old (and only) favourite Ozzie GF.
Anyway just for you a few shots of the boundary creek.

In this next one the black stripes down the side must be shadows which I never noticed at the time!

Lawrence...It was worth it my friend. Honest, it's a nice creek and you have taken some nice photos of it and got a bit of exercise at the same time :D

Busy day and busy night. Pressed for time so all you're getting is a loaf of homemade Amaranth gluten free bread - inspired by, and cooked as per, Oldhippy's thread.

Amaranth Bread LOL.jpg

Straight out of the oven handout of camera with zero processing - like I said; pressed for time.

Confined to barracks by the weather today.

This is an original oil hanging in the lounge/kitchen area.

I thought it might look good in monochrome but it doesn't really.

Lawerence, It was great to catch up on your thread. You live in such a beautiful place. I always tell my friend that lives in Gisborne that you live in Paradise.

Thanks Wendy
Yes it is beautiful and too many take it for granted.
So why am I shooting birds today?
Crazy.

Only birds today. Very disappointing as I went out with something else in mind but couldn't find "it"
Oh well "it" will show up one day.
First the "bird" of paradise.

I'm not overly joyed with any of them but I am not going out again as it is flipping cold and windy and raining.

Just not as sharp as I would like.
The 70-300 with the 1.4 TC is a bit soft. I know I am just being fussy.

I think MOST zoom lenses are soft and only prime lenses will give you the sharpness. At least, this is what I have worked out from various readings. I feel the same about my photos at times.
