[+] Foundation stone was laid by Sultan Idris Murshidul Aadzam Shah I on 26 September 1913
[+] Cost of construction: $224,000.00 Straits Dollar
[+] Architectural style: Indo-Saracenic (or in other word Mughal-Eclectic) with domes and minarets on an octagonal plan
[+] Constructed with reinforced concrete and the finest Italian marble
[+] Completed in 1917, a year after the death of Sultan Idris
[+] Regarded as one of the most beautiful mosques in the world

The Badshahi Mosque. It epitomizes the beauty and grandeur of the Mughal Era. Built in 1673, it is Lahore's most famous landmark and a major tourist attraction.

I am curious about the interior views? We get a slight hint in the last one. The centuries-old Christian churches in Europe are often the most stunning inside.

Most of the old mosques do not have much in the interior as it is just a plain place for prayers. The maximum you would see is some beautiful calligraphy in Arabic of the verses in Quran.

PS: Not been to this mosque but that is what is there in 99% of them all the designs are outside

That's been my experience, also. I've been inside a few mosques, and they're very ornate on the outside and plain on the inside.
