Alan, your thread turns into a superb one, not only great photos but entertaining as well

Thanks so much for the wonderful comments. I really appreciate that you enjoy my photos. Photography is my stress release and if sharing them with others brings them a little enjoyment all the better. I don't take my photography too serious anymore and found that I now have much more fun doing it.

Again I am just glad you take the time to stop by and enjoy some of what you see.

Alan I would just like to say that I think you have stepped your photography up a couple of notches lately. In the past a lot of your shots were too far away to get a good look at the subject. I don't know if you are just getting closer or purchased a longer lens but I would like to give you two thumbs up for your pictures.

Thanks Jeff. I have been lucky lately that some of the critters I am shooting have been closer than normal. Most of the places I go are nature preserves and have a wide barrier between people and the wildlife. All the Night Herons I have shot are in public parks or streets which allows me to get close to them. Unfortunately they will be gone in the next week or two as the young fledge and we will not see them again until next spring.
