I'm loving the rich color and texture of this shot! Very cool my friend! :D

African violet center. My very first attempt at closeup photography. circa 1974. I used a reversing ring on a 24mm f/2.8 Nikkor. It was a pain because I had to move the potted plant to focus! Kodak VPS.

Well, maybe the blurred flowers in the background, but the main subject looks like cryptostegia grandiflora or rubbervine. Nice picture, though.

I guess that's my error. I thought "posies" was a generic term for flowers. Obviously, I'm not much of a horticulturalist.

It's a generic term for a bouquet or handful of various flowers, rather than a nursery grouping or planting of mixed flowers. With the solitary rubbervine nicely brought to visual prominence by focus, it prompted my reply.

And now, having demonstrated that I arose on the pedantic side of the bed this morning, I will go have a pint of good ale and try to recover my senses.

At least I remembered my towel.

Fading orchids, taken in my light tent with a light from the left and right and the 55mm f.8 Micro

Another taken shortly after sunrise in our little Koi pond out back with the 105mm f/1.8 AIS
