Just thought I would show you a picture of the first real camera that I bought. It is a Nikon F 35mm film camera with a FTN light meter on the top and a 50mm F2 lens with a a leather camera case. I purchased this camera in 1971 and it looks just as good as the day I bought it.

nice portrait shot Jeff, on the old F camera, where does the SD card go:rolleyes:

The SD card wasn't invented until almost 30 years after I bought my first Nikon F. I ended up with two of them just identical with the FTN meter and case but recently sold the second one and kept the original that is in the picture.

One more close up from yesterday. These last two photos are taken of wild birds that are in a pond a few miles from my house.

Thanks Marilynne, Alan and Marcel for taking a look and leaving your comments. I haven't been out as much lately and the subjects are few and far between. We don't have a very big variety of subjects to photograph in this area.

There's lots of nesting going on around here. You should follow one of those herons back to the nest.

This is a boat that was in one of the races I watched today. It is 50ft long and has two 1600 horse power engines in it. Taken with my D600 with my Nikon 70-200VR lens along with a Nikon 2X teleconverter shot in DX mode.
