hi,
is it camera settings or post processing? You both could swap threads and i could not tell the difference. There is a common consistency of your outdoor shot which i find wonderful. Unless i shoot in short window of time my shots
for a day vary a lot. Keep it up whatever you are doing!

Well it is probably a little of both. Moabman teaches me alot on editing. However, I will never be as good at him at editing. My eyes don't see colors or details the way his do. So he is a better editor. But I am trying to get better.

MoabLadys shots were with a D7100 and a Tamron 90mm or Nikon 60mm - both macros. My shots were Nikon D600 (handful of shots with my D7100 & 55-300mm) with a Nikon 105mm macro. She shot with a flash and softbox. I shot 95% without a flash/softbox.

Interesting enough, we did not shoot together. My wife spread her wings and knowledge and ventured on her own with me towing the wagon of equipment.

With that said, and to answer your question, I'm guessing it comes down to editing and that I've taught her along the way. However, I do see her shooting style (composition) developing now that she has really figured out her camera and how to use it. My wife has far more artistry in her that is just now starting to bubble to the surface because for the first time she has achieved some mastery over her equipment and is gaining confidence in her decisions and what she's doing. I'm excited to see where she goes with it and I am very proud of her. There were times I stood there scratching my head, but she made it all work.

I also plan to upgrade some of her software... I mean her computers software. She is getting more and more confident and comfortable with Photoshop. Next I will add Nik Tools to her computer.

No stopping her now! She truly had the bug.
