Re: Wud's project 365

Hey so this ladybug shot, that is as close as I can get with the 105mm. I did both manual and autofocus. What will macro shooters suggest, for getting even closer?

I also flipped the camera for DX mode.

I think it's a bit hard shooting macro because I mostly do it handheld and my hand shakes, due to he weight of camera and lens (i find places to balance of course - my knee, a tree and so on) but have no idea if macro extensions weigh anything?

I've been so tired the last couple of evenings, thats why I haven't posted. Maybe also a little because some shots are pretty ehm, bad.

But here goes.

Day 72

Waited... waited... waited.....

Finally, when the sun was placed in the absolutely worst position, bird decided I could finally get its picture. Ugh.

Got a chubby dove, just in case..

Day 73

So tired I couldn't do anything creative

Day 74 - went for interview at my NEW SCHOOL, the guy I was talking to promised me I would get in. YAY!
This is were I'll be going (it was very cool inside too):

That sounds interesting! Taping your camera to the bird feeder...??

Day 76

Wanted something crunchy.

nd3_3139_web.jpg

nd3_3147_web.jpg

And just a fun one

nd3_3162_web.jpg

Day 77, fire. Not as easy as one would think - the red are very easily overexposed.

nd3_3170_web.jpg

Day 78 - spring flowers. First 2 shots are 2 images layered on top of eachother, to get focus on both the "ring" around the center, and the center itself (no idea what to call that).

nd3_3178_web.jpg

nd3_3184_web.jpg

Soft..

nd3_3182_web.jpg

Matte flower

nd3_3181_web.jpg

Day 79 - doggish.

Camera shake and morning coffee = the two are very related to each other. I generally avoid hand held shots until the afternoon when the bulk of the caffeine has been burned up. Otherwise a tripod (monopod) is mandatory

Hey how come Pretzel are big bald guy and I'm just a senior?! Oh
maybe because I'm neither...

The lady from the brother shoot choose the 2 portraits + another color image of them together, all in A3 and in the same framing. And then some smaller ones but those A3's will be for the present. I think it'll lol good hanging :)

And now I just said yes to another portrait of dogs arrangement, this time I'll donate 50% for their club, this way I get a little $ too for the work and I can use some money for some advertising I could give the costumers..

Maybe I should change it for "Scott Murray" then :p

Just had an idea. Added a lot of black brush on an old image, I really like the outcome. Just advertised a portrait day for people with black dogs.. hope people will sign up, I think it could be some very good images.

Really like that black dog shot Mai. I have a friend that does dog shoots for a local dog rescue and also for the local vets. Gives him plenty of practice & lots of different subjects :D
