need help finding reasonably priced tripod

So I'm going on vacation soon and my old freebie tripod just isn't cutting it anymore. I recently upgraded to the D7100 which came with an 18-200mm lens f/3.5-5.6 and I use the SB-700 flash for my heaviest setup. I am just wondering if there is a decent tripod for around the $100 range that anybody recommends that can support this setup and be light enough to throw on my backpack and carry around for hiking. My budget is pretty tight and admittedly have some free money to spend at Adorama so I'm hoping to keep it as close to 100 as possible.

I know that many people will say you can't get a good tripod for that price but I'm just looking for an upgrade not a professional grade tripod and admittedly have no idea what I'm looking for.

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions

Maybe rent / borrow for your trip and save longer? While buying now on your budget may get you through your trip, you may wish you'd waited later.

For not a lot more (~$50?) you are at the bottom of the carbon fibre price bracket, which for strength and portability is the only way to go....

+1 to Don's advise. I like my Dolcia and it can handle middle weighted setups just fine. No idea on heavyweight stuff, but if you own any of that I don't see how a $50 tripod is proper :p

For $100 I would highly recommend finding a camera shop with a stash of good user equipment and getting something second hand. Not a lot of solid stuff available new at that price that you won't want to replace a year down the road. Up your budget or buy used and buy once.
