Hi everybody, I am trying to take some self portraits my myself and I have my lights all set up and stuff, but because I have to be behind the camera before the shutter clicks, I can't get my self in focus, I'd there a setting on the Nikon D200 that I can chose to make the camera focus on me while I'm in the chair and then take my photo ??? I'm using the timer as well. Thanks for your help :)

Sincerely -Douglas

I use a wireless remote to do that as it sets focus before it releases. Otherwise you are going to have to focus on something that will be in the spot where you stand/sit and get focus that way before you take the shot.

Ok, thanks, after I thought about it after I posted this,vi did use an extra like stand and placed the top where my eyes were going to be, I focused on that, set the focus to manual, and set the times to 10 sec. And it seamed to work out fine. Thanks much, would rather have another shooter though (lol)

Get you a cheap set of those Yongnuo RF-603's (I got four for $60.00) transcievers. they are shutter release capable and flash triggers all in one. They work great.

That is how I got this self portrait
