Ooooh cute dogs! Hello Zoey :)

I tried HDR today, I did it with Photoshop: File -> Automate -> Merge to HDR Pro.

Did try the Nik HDR but that looked pretty awful.

Nik generally is a lot better. You have a lot of presets so one should you get you close then you start playing around with the sliders till you get exactly what you want. Took me a little while to get it to do what I wanted.

Did definitely not like neither of the presets. I dont know.. It showed up WAY to bright and noisy, where in PS HDR Pro, it just needed a little darkening and other very simple and low adjustments.

By neither did you mean any? There are a lot of presets.

Yes, I mean any :) I tried like 10 different ones, fast as the image where burning in my eyes and well.. nothing got any better. I did use a pretty high iso, so maybe the images should have been de-noised first, but the noise didn't turn up in HDR Pro..

Just checking. there are some modes where the presets do not all show up.

I like the Nik HDR software. It is pretty easy and straight forward to use. I may try the Ps version. I am still pretty green with Ps, I still haven't figured out what all I can do with the Photshop CC yet.

And just in case anyone is wondering...i got stuck at work. Just so you know......

The only problem I have with the Nik HDR program is that sometimes the edits don't show in LR5. I know it changed because the file name changed, but the image itself looks almost unaltered.

Also sometimes I have to hunt down where the HDR program saved the image. It gets kinda annoying.

Anyone else notice this too?

Hmm. I did the little editing in ps, but otherwise, I've just imported the file again to lr (in jpg, for me that's good enough quality).

Ok. I know you have been dying with anticipation. So without further delay....here are my photos for Feb. 13th, 44/365!

Up first for your viewing pleasure is the Front Paw. I figured everyone does pet shots. So I dare to be different today!!

And what about the hind paw you ask?! Well here it is!

The model was Brutus. Who was only mollified after two treats, two. One apparently wasn't enough for his troubles.

My Brutus died last year after hanging himself of a chain after I went to the store... Your Brutus looks way healthier and I thank you for that.

Sorry for your loss Scott.

My little guy is doing pretty good. I was at the girlfriends place and we noticed a van just driving around her neighborhood. Well a few streets away it pulled up and out Brutus went, and it sped off. I soon found myself the proud owner of a 5 pound, pint sized guard dog. He has been great so far.

I have been really enjoying owning a little dog. Never saw myself owning anything smaller than Labs, but here he is.

Actually not me. CT release on my mothers left hand. She wanted a photo of the bruising, and I just couldn't settle for just that one shot.
