Ok, I have to admit this was not taken with a Nikon............

........it was taken with my Hasselblad 500CM, 80mm f/2.8 Planar and T-Max 100 film. I am on a medium format film binge right now. Digital just does not interest me in the least at this moment. It is still a great image though, at least in my opinion! Your mileage may vary.

And since it is medium format with a very sharp and fine grained film, printing to 16x20 is piece of cake!

It's a beautiful image, and a great setup.

I'll bet a Bronica with a good set of Nikkors is cheap these days.

very nice - would have made a great entry into last months challenge.

It probably would not have flown since it was not a Nikon. Fair is fair and I wouldn't have fudged and said it was because that is just not ethical. For my personal black and white photography my Hasselblad is my go to camera. PERIOD. Film has a special quality to it that I doubt digital will ever be able to replicate.

They are, but now Hasselblad is very reasonable too. For those of us who still shoot lots of film, digital has been a God send. Now that stuff is finally affordable to everyone!

Competition is healthy for everyone.

And so is the totally unfounded perception by so many people that film is now obsolete. For those of us who know better, nothing could be farther from the truth. Film has a certain quality and charm to it, most especially in B&W, that digital will never be able to replicate.

I moved this to the "Off Topic" section since it is not a Nikon photo. Since this is a Nikon related forum we really need to stick to photos taken with a Nikon camera. There are times where it is OK to put a photo in that is taken with another brand of camera but those should be few and far between and probably always put in the Off Topic section.

Thanks
