Lightroom 5, switched from Aperture. I also have the NiK tools as well as OnOne suite which acts a standalone and plugin. Most of mine is done in LR, but decided I better use the other 2 because I paid for them. They are similar but different and still learning both. Also us Pixelmator for Mac, for the little i do advanced editing I couldn't justify photoshop/CC.

Day 16, ducks and the destroyer of duck ponds. Couldn't resist but they are so close to each other, no they are not tearing out the ducks home just building houses around the pond. If anyone is familiar with golf, this pond belongs to the Nelson family as in Byron Nelson. He was one of the long time residents of our town and his wife still owns the land the duck pond is on. They sold the other half where the neighborhood is being developed and its called Fairway Ranch. I never meet him, but have worked with his wife when I spent time in politics. Great family.

Ha that is so true, I did have one but they were too far and looked like black spots. Every time I pull up they go to the other side. I am thinking I need to sneak up them so they are closer to me. Love all the bird shots on Nikonites, but mine are usually a fail.

Hey Kevin having a "pond way to go" simply means a longer journey to enjoy!
I notice in these photos that these photos all the birds are in the middle third of the horizontal plane - was that intentional?

Well normally what happens is when I show up I focus on getting one bird, but then they see me and start moving around so it usually ends up with multiples in frame and I crop out. This bird thing is getting to me, I have a shot in mind till they see me.

Kind of funny, I had a great shot and was about to snap when the bird started moving to the right so I picked up and readjusted and then they all flew off, just one of those days I guess. See example. This is about as close as I can get to them, need a longer lens and TC to be able to crop in camera and not on the computer.

LOL
Just read my comments and "pond" way (?) was meant to be "long" way.
I know what you mean about animals not co-operating. For me they seem to turn their butts on me!
