Right Angle Viewfinder

Has anyone used Nikon's Right Angle Viewfinder? I'm just wondering whether it is worth the $194 price tag. I can see its benefit especially for macro photography when the camera is really low to the ground.

If you have used one, how do you like it, and when did you use it? And any pro/con comments are certainly welcome. Thanks! :)

Sadly no answer. I was considering the same, getting too old to lay flat on the ground in the water for a mushroom shot.

I looked at ebay on right angle viewfinders and they are a lot cheaper if not Nikon.
However you would not want to have bad glass between you choosing your picture.

I came to look at the Aputure V-Screen and then thought, but why not use my smartphone like that.
It seems that there are quite some apps on android to support remote control of the Nikon devises, even an official Nikon app.
Did not try it yet, have to find the cables to connect it all in OTG. Does anyone have experience with this?

For D7100, etc... here it seems very specific on the compatible devices

P:S: I´m still trying a wired connection. => I have to since it seems nor the WU-1A ot the WU-1B support the D7000.

Got the right cables and it works in a wired way on my D7000, which I now can control from DslrDashboard on my android device, with 2m of cable in between the 2 devices. :)

It seems you can also get the wireless to work on the D7000, by hacking the Nikon code, I obviously do not recommend this, wired will do fine for me.

Have a picture now:
