Sharin, there is a section on here called 365 threads, just gives you somewhere to plonk your general photos, I called mine "Ironwoods Plod", sometimes I go a couple of weeks between posts in that thread, while others will post daily in theirs, just do it when it suits you is the best way.

Wow, thanks for the warm welcome! I will begin posting photos I think "are worthy" of being seen here sometime soon, I hope. But bear in mind, I have no models or kids or fancy cars. My stuff is pretty mundane, but it makes me happy when it's something I want to document and it looks decent enough. <Thinking to self: Wow, what a nice bunch of people.>
Post away! None of us here have ever posted anything mundane or pointless here...........

Now on to the posting photos bit. It doesn't matter what you shoot. It only matters that you shoot. The more you shoot the better you become. And then you will start to see those boring scenes may not be so boring after all. But at the end of the year you will be able to look back and see just what you have become. And bringing us along on the journey is half of the fun. It is very exciting watching someone growing and enjoying their photography. Everybody here will only help you get better.
And besides. Some of the stuff you may think is boring...someone else, somewhere else, may have never seen anything like it before.

Its the same outside here. So what I did was take my photography indoors. Check out my 365. Everything I have photographed so far this year is just simple household items. Even something you think is plain, put in the right light, will hold a certain amount of beauty.
