Glen, right now I have:
Nikon 50mm f1.8.
Nikon 55mm. F2.8 Macro.
Nikon 28-105mm f3.5.
Nikon- 70-300mm Vr.
Nikon-55-200mm Vr.
Nikon-18-135mm f3.5
SB-800
SB-600
D7000.
D200.
D80.

Curt, I think you already have a nice set-up. I really don't know what kind of photography you like to take but I think you can pretty much do anything with your current gear. Just be forwarned, the f2.8 pro zooms are very sharp and addicting.

I still have my D80 with grip (left picture). I don't know why I kept it but I just let my kids play with it for school stuff. Without buying any other lenses, I would keep the

Nikon 55mm. F2.8 Macro.
Nikon 28-105mm f3.5.
Nikon- 70-300mm Vr + your SB 600 /800

Sell the D80, D200
Nikon-55-200mm Vr.
Nikon-18-135mm f3.5
Nikon 50mm f1.8D

Whatever money you get out of these gear, you can then get a used Nikon 17-55 f2.8 DX lens. If the FX move is too expensive, then just stick with DX. I enjoy using my D7000 too.:)

Jack, it sounds like you have some pretty nice gear, looking at your pictures it looks like you are putting it all to good use.
But you are right, Glen does seem to have it all...lol. Maybe one day he will have a garage sale and you & I can go over there...lol.

Jack / Curt- I've actually thinned out my gear already and had about 3 camera bags full of lenses and other stuff. The lenses that I have left are pretty redundant but I just can't see them go away. The trouble is I just ordered a Nikon SB 900 and a used 300mm f3.5 AIS lens with extension tube. The Nikon 200mm f2 and 300mm f2.8 VR are the only ones left that I "NEED" to acquire but that will be my ultimate retirement dream lens to use for wildlife.

Glen, I hope that terrible earthquake in your country did not affect you or any of your family. I have been to Tokyo years ago, Japan is such a beautiful country. So I hope it did not cause you & your family any despair.

As soon as I acquire an unlimited budget (Lotto 6/49) I'm going to get everything Glenn has! And then some! lol :) I have champagne taste........Kool-Aid money. :)

LOL! I'm in the same boat Jack - and sometime I don't even have Kool-Aid money!. Maybe we can start an NAS|6/49 pool together!! :)

LOL, yeah, wouldn't that be cool, eh, Curt? :) As for all my gear........I try to buy only when I think I need something, and then I have to find it on sale (read: really cheap :) ). I go on Kijiji a lot! :)
I'm so glad I found a stand for my umbrellas for a really good price, too. It's lenses I'm more interested in, though, especially some faster glass would be nice. I just have to be patient.

Well guys, here is the latest scoop...lol. I am going to sell both the 18-135mm & the 55-200mm with my D80 in the fall.
I just bought the 18-55mm AF-S VR lens, I love it! Really fast, very sharp, even good macro. all under $200.00.
So I am pretty happy with the way it turned out :).
