Nothing new in my sights today,this looks as though the crow is holding a stick for some reason,its not nest building time.

Good job on the crow. Looks like he might be getting ready for battle.

There was a David Suzuki episode of "The Nature of Things" called "A Murder of Crows". In it he talks about how intelligent crows really are and he showed them using sticks as tools to reach things.

MikeW, great capture on the crow. With their black feathers they can be tough to strike the balance of not blowing out the background while capturing the feather detail.

Yes crows are waaaaaay too damn smart and their buddies the Ravens are worse! Black subjects with dark eyes are very hard to capture but you pulled it off :cool:

Thank you,couldn't commit much time today but so long as i get one

I'm waiting till the summer then there will be more stuff to photograph, At the moment its dull and dreary and not much about.

But as you say as long as we get the one a day. that's the main thing.

Well its been one of those days,didnt feel like taking pictures so just walked down the road to a row of Victorian terrace houses,we call them spectical row due to the round windows,came home worked the picture then noticed the exif had tomorrows date so needed a new picture for today.
